Anxiety & Depression

2302032677Anxiety makes it hard to shut down.

“Are you really THAT happy? Does your life reflect what you post on social media, or is it just for show?”

You ask yourself, “What’s wrong with me that I can’t feel like what I am pretending to be?”

Why can’t you shut your brain off or quiet it? You’re exhausted from constantly thinking about the next issue that might come your way. You’re an unstoppable force juggling work, family, and relationships, constantly multi-tasking and juggling tasks precisely and efficiently.

Among high performers like you, anxiety is often a silent struggle. Even in moments of perfection, whispers of self-doubt linger in your mind, and you always feel like you’re not good enough.

All the worries and striving to keep doing it make you feel drained all the time,
like your body isn’t yours and is betraying you.

Depression slows everything down.

Although your whole body is running, your feet feel like they’re dried in concrete.

You feel like you don’t matter, that no one cares about you, things will never get better, and you’re stuck in this pain forever.

Whatever is happening makes you feel alone and like a burden to others. It’s your fault for letting everyone down, so you have no reason to live.

Being around people no longer interests you. Disappearing inside yourself seems more appealing. Nothing ever goes right for you, and everything is falling apart.

147647633Anxiety and depression are silent struggles.

Most people, even those closest to you, don’t hear your silent screams for help.

Few realize that childhood struggles, societal pressures, and being raised by critical or emotionally distant caregivers have held you captive.

Your struggle is authentic, and there is a safe place to admit it!

A happier, healthier you is waiting.

Continuing to struggle alone with anxiety and depression is not an option. Sometimes, you go to sleep and imagine waking up, and all of this is gone.

It is time for a fresh, clean start to move into an opening of opportunities rather than just facing challenge after challenge.

You envision a world where you can be genuinely heard and live authentically, free from all the noise, distractions, thoughts of worthlessness, and pain.

Therapy can make your vision of freedom from anxiety and depression come true.

Together, we can start the process.

Imagine stepping into a warm, inviting space, all from the comfort of your favorite chair, in familiar surroundings, without fuss.

This isn’t your typical therapy session. It’s more like connecting with a friend who understands you – who sees the many layers of your unique identity and is committed to creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can be your authentic self.

No filters, no pretenses – just you!

The approach depends on your specific needs.

Genuinely helping you means using various therapeutic approaches, not just sticking strictly to one specific method. Different challenges may require different strategies; sometimes, one therapy will be more effective for a particular issue than another. I never use a cookie-cutter approach to individualized treatment. You don’t have to figure out which therapy I happen to be using, but I’ll explain some of the ones I employ, depending on the specific circumstances that we’re trying to address.

Client-Centered Therapy (CCT) helps create a nonjudgmental, empathetic environment for self-exploration and emotional expression.

Suppose you are experiencing depression and anxiety due to grief because of any loss. I may use Complicated Grief Therapy (CGT) to help normalize the grief process out of isolation, reduce isolation, and address complex bereavement with acceptance.

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you focus on the present rather than on negative thoughts.

Compassion-focused techniques are a form of self-compassion therapy that enables you to develop a kinder mindset, build trust and love for yourself, and reduce your shame.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will help you regulate emotions, create grounding, and improve your distress tolerance skills.

Existential Therapy enables you to explore your purpose in life, connect with freedom and responsibility, challenge isolation cravings, live authentically, and accept uncertainty in your life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy will help you develop emotional regulation, decrease stress, and improve relaxation.
