Kayla Gooden
BayRidge Effective Therapy
I help clients heal from past challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
As a therapist, my priority is creating a space where you and your teen feel supported, valued, and understood. I provide compassionate, personalized care to help clients navigate life’s challenges, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence.
I take an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs. Whether your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges, my focus is on helping them feel safe, uncover their strengths, and develop tools that support both healing and growth.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful catalyst for change. By working together with honesty and empathy, we’ll identify what’s holding your teen back and create meaningful steps toward the life they want.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and closest friends, my feisty Maltipoo Lola, listening to music, and traveling. These moments of joy remind me of the importance of connection and balance—something I hope to help you and your family cultivate in your own lives.
